About Me
Hello, I am Wilma Bouska. I have been sewing for many years, including dresses and clothing for my children and grandchildren, as well as quilts and other items. I come from a long line of tailor’s and quilt makers. I recall sitting at my great-aunt Nina’s feet when I was a small child and watching her make beautiful garments, as well as working the treadle on my grandmother, Nora Connelly’s sewing machine. My basic sewing education was in 4-H and Home Economics in school, as well as learning from special friends and family.
As a young adult I became a nurse and worked in the nursing field for almost 40 years. I have had a very fulfilled career as a nurse. After recent downsizing in the facility I worked in, I decided it was time to consider opening a business of my own that I have dreamed about for many years.
Helping others to learn to sew, mend and repair items and complete projects is my goal. I look forward to providing sewing services for everyone. I have a Professional Handi Quilter computerized long arm machine, 2 ten needle Baby-lock Embroidery machines, Baby-lock Triumph Serger, Accu-Quilt cutting system and various sewing machines.
I am a one-person shop located between Chandler and Wellston Oklahoma in a small community known as Warwick. By keeping the sewing studio in my home, I am keeping costs and overhead down so that I can be economical to all. If there is anything I can help you with, or for questions, please do not hesitate to call or text me on my cell at 405-834-8225 or email at okminihorse@aol.com.
